Last year I did baby loaves of Ice Cream bread...a recipe from my other dear friend Natalie who joined a convent.

Ice Cream Bread!
From the Sisters at the Dominican Order of St. Cecilla
in Nashville, Tennessee

1 pint ice cream (rum raisin or butter pecan work well, just be sure to buy a high quality brand of ice cream or else the bread will not carry forth the flavor and will simply taste like flour - Ben and Jerry's works great!)
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

And this is a recipe for a Cinnamon Cream-Cheese Spread/Frosting that I like to make to go with the bread:
3/4 lb. powdered sugar (12 oz.)
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 lb. cream cheese (8 oz.)
*Sift together sugar & cinnamon, set aside (I usually don't sift, but that's what the recipe says!)
*Beat cream cheese and milk on medium until smooth. Gradually add cinnamon sugar mixture, beating first on low, then working up to medium-high until smooth.

Put the spread into little ziploc containers and deliver it with the bread. It really makes the bread worthwhile!

LOVE YOU, RoseAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3304476735442085928.post-28039546334923399492007-12-18T15:24:00.000-06:002007-12-18T15:24:00.000-06:00Yummy, the bread looked so good.
